This group is a space for adults navigating the early stages of dating—whether that’s the apps, the first few dates, or trying to figure out why things keep fizzling out. Men’s Group: What’s Next For You?

Men's Group flyer

If your playbook for life is letting you down, it’s time to draw up a new one.

The expectations society places on men often leave little room for vulnerability, self-reflection, or authentic connection. Many men grow up learning to suppress emotions, “tough it out,” and handle everything alone—but that playbook doesn’t always lead where we want to go.

This group is for men who are ready to explore what’s next. Whether you’re navigating a major life transition, struggling with relationships, feeling disconnected, or simply wanting more from life—this is a space to be heard, challenged, and supported by other men doing the same work.

Group Details:

  • When: Thursdays at 7pm
  • Cost: $30 per session
  • Where: California Family Institute, Costa Mesa
  • Facilitators: Jonathan Miranda & Danny Livingston (AMFTs)
  • Open to: Men of all ages and backgrounds

This is an ongoing group currently accepting new members.

FAQ

Common Questions

Is group therapy right for me if I'm shy?
Many people who join groups describe themselves as shy or introverted. There's no pressure to share before you're ready. Many find that listening to others helps them feel less alone, and participation naturally increases over time.
Will I have to share personal details with strangers?
You control what you share. Confidentiality agreements are established at the start, and facilitators create a safe, respectful environment. Most participants find unexpected comfort in connecting with others who understand.
How is group therapy different from individual therapy?
Groups offer unique benefits like peer support, diverse perspectives, and the experience of helping others while being helped. Many people do both—individual therapy for deep personal work, and groups for community and practice.
