Therapist

Chelsea Brigham is a Professional Clinical Counselor Trainee currently completing her Master’s in Psychology, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, at California Southern University. Originally pursuing a career in public relations, Chelsea found herself longing for a path with deeper purpose—one rooted in service and meaningful change. In 2015, she made a seamless transition into the mental health and substance use field, where she has since devoted her career to supporting individuals and families navigating the complex challenges of mental illness, substance misuse, and eating disorders.

Chelsea brings empathy, insight, and humility to her work – shaped from her own therapeutic process, education, and lived experience. Her therapeutic approach is relational; grounded in genuine connection, safety and curiosity. She believes the values and “rules” for living we inherit and internalize both from our families and society can profoundly shape and limit our relationship with ourselves and the world around us. Thus, she holds the process of collaborative discovery and un-becoming alongside her clients — a journey that often opens up freer, more flexible, and more passionate ways of being – a precious gift.

Outside the therapy room, Chelsea is an adventurer at heart. She enjoys discovering new hobbies, exploring the outdoors, and traveling with her loyal four-legged companion, Hank the Hound Dog. She finds joy in family, creativity, and artistic expression—particularly through writing, live music, and cooking.
